Discussions will include different approaches to accelerating public health response and ideas to address new challenges during a pandemic
Dianova, Portugal’s Abroad Addiction Treatment Clinic, is pleased to share the highlights of the 3rd WHO Forum on Alcohol, Drugs and Addictive Behaviour. Also known as the 3rd FADAB, the forum included technical presentations on topics such as gaming disorders, substance abuse, addictive behaviors, workplace health, cannabis and health; followed by international standards for prevention and treatment. Dianova, the Alcohol rehabilitation abroad Experts, has been attending this event by invitation only since 2017. Forum topics include alcohol and addictive behaviors, as well as important issues such as drug policy. The World Health Organization addresses problems arising from addictive behaviors involving alcohol and substances, and the United Nations addresses problems related to drugs and controlled substances.
These two organizations cooperate and work together to find solutions to deal with the situations. Dianova, the addiction clinic abroad appreciates the combined approach to address such issues and congratulates WHO on its leadership. Dianova is present in many countries and its center in Portugal is one of the most effective alcohol rehabilitation facilities abroad, specializing in prevention and health promotion. The center offers various addiction treatment programs with personalized attention to each individual and helps them recover with the help of an individualized program.
Dianova follows a specific intervention technique that begins with individual and group psychotherapy, followed by occupational, recreational, and training activities. Pharmacological support is provided whenever or wherever needed. All programs are quality-certified and based on scientific knowledge. Their collaboration with different institutions helps them delve deeper into the concepts and make effective changes to their assessment policies. Dianova integrates methodological criteria into its intervention programs to motivate users to respond positively to the treatments. As progress progresses, the individual’s resistance to change gradually diminishes.
At Dianova, people will be able to find the resources and skills to overcome their addiction all on their own. There are several therapy models that are offered. Each of these has its own strengths and limitations. One of the main reasons is the nature of the addiction and the extent of the addiction. For this reason, the center adopts a personalized approach, supported by a therapeutic intervention that allows the individual to act responsibly and regain self-esteem. Dianova is proud of her therapeutic team in the addiction treatment clinic abroad. The team consists of highly qualified professionals from multiple disciplines such as general medicine, psychiatry, social pedagogy and social work, sociocultural animation and psychology. The team members undergo continuous training in order to further develop their professional and specific skills.
