With articles in the categories: health, outdoor, science and travel
The founders of IHGTC are pleased to announce the launch of their brand new website featuring holistic blogs in the categories of Health, Outdoors, Science and Travel. The founders created this platform with respect for the Global Therapeutic Cultures, a movement focused on therapeutic cultures, popular psychology and happiness. What motivated these individuals to start this website is the book The Routledge International Handbook of Global Therapeutic Cultures published on August 25, 2020. The authors of this book are Daniel Nehring, professor and peripatetic sociologist; Ole Jacob Madsen, a Norwegian psychologist; Edgar Cabanas, a psychologist and happiness expert; China Mills, an author, professor and researcher; and Dylan Kerrigan, researcher and lecturer in sociocultural anthropology, criminology, and political sociology.
All of these thought leaders in their respective fields came together to create this book, which is nothing short of a movement. It focuses on bringing together their expertise supported by studies of therapeutic cultures related to sociology, psychology, anthropology, politics, education, history, law, social work, development studies and cultural studies. The book is a guide to looking at the past and how to improve your present and future, thereby improving the entire ecosystem, society and the community that surrounds it. The founders of IHGTC strongly believe in the purpose of this book and therefore created this platform to help people excel on both their physical and emotional fronts while paying homage to their predecessors.
The Health category has some extremely informative articles on Food & Nutrition and Weight Loss. Obesity is associated with a variety of health risks. Thanks to the internet, people are now more aware of these risks and are trying to take the healthier route. This page covers important topics such as top reasons to detox regularly, insights into healthy eating, the benefits of drinking 2 liters of clean water every day, and the basics of intermittent fasting. The other weight loss topics covered are the best home gym equipment, losing weight the smart way, and using cardio workouts to lose belly fat.
A healthy lifestyle isn’t just about eating well and exercising. It’s about being fit in a holistic way by maintaining emotional well-being. Stress is one of the main factors that lead to heart disease, blood pressure, diabetes and other serious health problems. People in their 30s and 40s are more prone to stress due to the pressures they face at work and at home. While many succumb to mental illness, others fall victim to heart attacks and strokes. As important as it is to keep the physiological elements in check, it is also important to take care of mental health. The post about Two mysteries of holistic health revealed covers some aspects of holistic living.
